The ElitePetique Care Guide
How to keep your dog's accessories in exceptional condition — for years, not months.
Premium accessories are an investment. With proper care, they outlast anything mass-produced and develop their own character.
Leather Collars & Leads
Leather is a living material. It breathes, matures, and with proper care becomes more beautiful over time.
- After every walk, wipe with a soft dry cloth to remove moisture and dirt.
- For deeper cleaning, use a damp cloth with a small amount of leather soap. Never soak.
- Apply leather conditioner every 4–6 weeks to maintain suppleness.
- Store away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- If wet, allow to dry naturally at room temperature. Never use a hairdryer or radiator.
Metal Hardware
- Wipe regularly with a dry microfibre cloth.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to saltwater, chlorine, or humidity.
- For light oxidation, use a soft metal polishing cloth.
- Check hardware every few weeks for wear or loosening — this is a safety matter.
Fabric Accessories
- Hand wash in cool water with a mild, fragrance-free detergent.
- Do not tumble dry. Lay flat to air dry.
- Check seams at stress points regularly.
General Guidelines
- Check the fit every two months. Two fingers should fit comfortably between collar and neck.
- Inspect before every walk. Buckles, connectors, stitching.
- Rotate accessories if your dog has more than one collar.
Our products are made to last. This guide ensures they will.
